We at Bengaluru Design Festival are extremely happy to invite the young and vibrant students from various colleges to be a part of the festivals through various design competitions and activations. It is an incredible opportunity to be a part of this unique initiative and showcase the talents on a global platform. Following are the various competitions and design challenges focusing on students from colleges.
To create design awareness among the students, make a design installation on the theme ‘Best out of waste’. The installation has to be exhibited from 11th Nov to 12th Dec in the school campus at a highly visible spot. The top three installations will be awarded with recognitions and prize money of Rs. 1,00,000/-, 50,000/- & 25,000/- respectively.

It is a showcase of invention and creativity that brings together tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students and commercial exhibitors. The top 3 maker stalls will be recognised.

Put your thinking caps on and come up with possible solutions for a problem statement.

Want to make it big? Plunge into the shark tank, pitch your designs and ideas and get funded

Let's see how good you are at improvising. Swap canvases with the person next to you every 10 minutes and create an amazing design.

Scheduled from 11th November to 12th December, 2022, Bangalore Design Festival is the world's largest design festival supported by the Government of Karnataka and other leading international and national industry bodies. Over 500 events and activities are lined up across the month under the festival including design summits, design installations, workshops, design talks, exhibits, design challenges, design competitions etc. The first edition is expected to witness a gathering of over 50,000 design professionals, architects, thought leaders, policy makers & government officials, creative minds and students.
Be it Engineering, Arts & Science, or Management any college can participate in the competitions.
The first level of the competition will happen at various locations in Bengaluru. The final will be happening at hotel Lalit Ashok during the Bing Bang(lore) Summit scheduled on 8th, 9th & 10th December 2022. The date and the venue of the competition will be updated to the registered participants.
Certain events you can participate as individuals and for some events you have to participate in groups. The criteria of the contest is listed along with the event.
There are absolutely NO fees to participate in the contests.
